Absztrakt

 Usahatani padi sawah merupakan sektor strategis bagi perekonomian Kabupaten Sambas, namun produktivitasnya belum optimal akibat tingginya ketergantungan petani pada metode konvensional dan terbatasnya akses teknologi modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran penyuluh pertanian sebagai agen perubahan yang mencakup fungsi katalisator, pemberi solusi, pembimbing proses, dan penghubung sumber daya dalam pengembangan usahatani padi sawah. Metode penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan desain eksplanatori sekuensial melalui sensus seluruh populasi penyuluh yang diperkuat data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyuluh telah menjalankan keempat fungsinya secara efektif: mendorong adopsi inovasi melalui komunikasi persuasif, menawarkan solusi permasalahan teknis budidaya, melakukan pendampingan berkelanjutan dari perencanaan hingga evaluasi, serta menjembatani petani dengan lembaga eksternal
